Although the cello is Sydney Moore’s primary instrument, she is also capable of teaching the violin, viola, and double bass with the same amount of efficiency and confidence.
Mrs. Moore received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Valdosta State University and will be starting her Master of Music in Music Composition at Georgia State University in the fall. When she is not teaching at the Sound of Music or working at GSU, Mrs. Moore can also be found working at Covenant Christian School in Smyrna, Georgia as the Instructor of Orchestral Strings.
In addition to being an educator and rising composer, Mrs. Moore is also an active performer. She currently plays with the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra and has worked with several symphony orchestras and chamber groups in the past such as the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra in Valdosta, Georgia and the Alma Symphony Orchestra in Alma, Michigan.
Above all else, Sydney Moore is passionate about bringing out the best performer in all students, regardless of playing level.
