LESSONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Payments:
Regular time slots may be reserved on monthly basis by paying the monthly tuition fee. The fee covers the entire month and is due on the last lesson of the previous month. Payments made on time will secure your time slot for the following month. New students are required to pay a one-time registration fee. There will be a late fee of $20.00 if your payment is not received by the 5th day of the current month. We accept check, cash, credit/debit card, or you can pay online on our website. Checks returned for insufficient funds will have $35 penalty in addition to the regular tuition, and payment must be made in cash or money order.
Attendance:
Weekly attendance is necessary of maintenance and advancement of your skills. Please attempt to keep all your scheduled lessons and avoid missing any of them. However, if you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson, please contact your teacher directly at least 24 hours in advance. We will be happy to schedule a makeup lesson for you, but if your notice is less than 24 hours in advance, your teacher is not obligated to provide the makeup. Teachers reserve the right to refuse make up lesson for the student. No email cancellations are accepted.
There are no refunds for any reason. There are no credits for missed lessons or lessons without adequate cancellation notice.
Tardiness (late attendance):
Due to our strict schedule, we will not be able to provide additional time and extend your lesson if you are late. Tardiness or leaving lesson early result in lost lesson time and teachers are not expected to make up that lost time.
Lessons termination policy:
We require a one month notice if you’d like to stop your lessons. No money refund will be given. Credits left over may be redeemed in the form of lessons for anyone in your family or/and other musical instrument of your choice.
Miscellaneous Policies:
The Sound of Music is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur in our facilities. Student's siblings should not be left unattended and are not allowed at lessons. Parents are required to attend all lessons with the students.
